Sexual assault Beirut.

Terror happens everywhere, crimes all around; but never have I seen it happen this way. Only in Beirut.

This is a country were you can do any sort of crime and hide behind a politician (wasta). Two girls decide they want to go pubbing in Gemayze.

The pub’s name was “fame”. As soon as they enter, one girl decides to go the bathroom, she goes down the stairs. As shes entering she sees a huge guy follow her. She enters does her business and comes out. The guy is still there looking fucked up. As she’s washing her hands, he comes to her side and whispers something in her ear, she does not respond. I guess we all know what happened next. Forcibly pushed her to the wall and started grabbing her, of course she tries screaming but grabs her by the mouth,  bites his dirty hands and screams for her life. The bartender came down and lots of other customers. The girl is now crying in shock and they ask what happened; That idiot was trying to assault me. What does the bartender say ? “you stupid slut, go do your business elsewhere, this is not a ‘da3ara’ area (whore house). She rushed out feeling disgusted without a word and the police are already outside because of the screams. People were outside the pubs staring at her with disgust, not even pity. The asshole tries running away but they catch him and take both of them to the station. She enters the room, having to explain what had happened. The very “nice” man tells her to hurry up because he wants to sleep. After explaining, they tell the young girl that she maybe drunk and need to do a drug test, sleep for a night at the ‘nazara’ with other criminals and having it affect her judicial record. The man would be set free.

This is what happens in a fucked up country were you cant do anything without having some politician having your back. When is this going to stop ? No I didn’t make the story up. No I didn’t interview this girl. I am her. This happened to me in Fame Gemayze. The only remaining thing left for the Lebanese people there was to stone me to death. When is this beautiful country going to wake up and stand as one ? Why I didn’t speak up ? To whom am I going to speak up ? The politicians ? the police ? the judgmental people ?

The man at the office told me that there were over 20 cases of my case in that station everyday. Its all happening in Gemayze and no one ever does anything.

usual thoughts

so here I am, working full time and late classes to finish my education. I work in a logistics company in Beirut, while I’m studying marketing&Advertising and minor in PR.Yeah my parents don’t think that i would make it as a landscape architect, And they wont even let me try. I’m not the type of person that usually listens, I do what the fuck I want to do. I can listen to you for hours nodding my head in agreement, but honey at the end of the day I don’t care what you say. So from working in a huge ass company with a lot of co-workers, I’ve learnt that this is no place for a free soul. You have the non stop complaining, huge drama (big men included), fights over the stupidest thing. How can you be angry the whole day because some guy on the phone didn’t tell you thank you ? like seriously man get your shit together. Yeah you literally have to become some manager’s girlfriend to become a simple team leader in a department. My job here is a secretary to the managing director, I’m also his mail delivery person, accountant when the actual accountant isn’t here, freight jobs, I can also be sent to the port to do the job.. and how dare i make a mistake ? This is why the Lebanese are so stressed out, this is why they drive like  prey running away from hungry lions. I’m sure all this has to do with politicians not doing their job, its okay… just give them time, they’re really busy with Mia khalifa’s videos and how to take care of her shit and not letting festivals and musicians come into this country. Give them a chance the good bag of shits!!

Something Beautiful.

So .. since I came to Lebanon, I have been dreaming of visiting places and anywhere there is nature. Lebanon is known for its exquisite sites and beautiful views but I haven’t seen any yet. I feel that no Lebanese person ever wants to go out.. (don’t get me wrong, not all.) They just want to either go to a new pub or night club or just chill. How about horse riding ? or a beautiful hike. Perhaps go enjoy the park or the beauty of the country. I feel really bad that I am surrounded by the beautiful experiments but im just stuck at my full time job and late classes in order to graduate. But ama get there tho 😀 Horseback-Ride-Ocean

Love would never leave us alone.

“Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you. When something wonderful happens, you can’t wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in your excitement. They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself. Never do they hurt your feelings or make you feel like you are not good enough, but rather they build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special and even beautiful. There is never any pressure, jealousy or competition but only a quiet calmness when they are around. You can be yourself and not worry about what they will think of you because they love you for who you are. The things that seem insignificant to most people such as a note, song or walk become invaluable treasures kept safe in your heart to cherish forever. Memories of your childhood come back and are so clear and vivid it’s like being young again. Colors seem brighter and more brilliant. Laughter seems part of daily life where before it was infrequent or didn’t exist at all. A phone call or two during the day helps to get you through a long day’s work and always brings a smile to your face. In their presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, but you find you’re quite content in just having them nearby. Things that never interested you before become fascinating because you know they are important to this person who is so special to you. You think of this person on every occasion and in everything you do. Simple things bring them to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind or even a storm cloud on the horizon. You open your heart knowing that there’s a chance it may be broken one day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that’s so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life.”

The young soldier. #justiceforyves

It is not death, without hereafter.

To one in dearth, of life and its laughter

Nor the sweet murder, dealt slow and even

Unto the martyr, smiling at heaven:

It is the smile, faint as a (waning) myth,

Faint, and exceeding small

On a boy’s murdered mouth.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Yves’ family and friends. I hope they can now have  peace of mind that the killer was found. Such a tragedy to be living in a country as such were killers could hide behind a politician, and even be replying on comments on social media. May his soul rest in peace and we thank the supporters that justice has been claimed finally.

Two days after the incident a young girl lost her life by a gunshot. As a man was not allowed to enter a night club in kaslik, he took his gun and shot in the air; she was unfortunate the bullet hit her. Why are our parents and society giving permission to young folks to hold guns??

Misunderstanding Beirut

During my childhood days, I dreamt of living in Lebanon. I could imagine myself walking on the beach, making Lebanese friends and having a great time. Well, that was until I came here and started school as a 12th grader. Oh how I did not know what I was getting myself into.

where do I start; As a first, not everyone is as friendly as they seem. you just see that in the movies, or bathrooms of a pub or a night club ( ya3ni night ).

Not so much smart people either, I have never been asked stupid questions; not even illiterates can come up with these idiotic questions;

1) did you live in the forests naked?

2) did you have lions and tigers in your backyards ? did you even have houses ?

3)  does everyone there have AIDS ?

4) I’m sure this is the first time you actually wear clothes right ?

No Goddammit, I would even rather live in the forests with no clothing, contract AIDS and have a lion as my best friend than have to sit with you idiots in class all day.  Its a good thing my sarcasm days were on point!

It was hard at first, but you need to learn how to live and appreciate this beautiful country. I would admit I had really bad days, they would literally tease you when you speak English in an English School. When we finally graduated, I think I was the happiest and cried of joy.

What they want us to believe

Life has brought us many wonders, many questions and many facts. We have religion and we have science. If you come to give it a thought, what are we and what are we here to do ? We as we know it are the universe. They bring us to believe many lies which tend to eat us alive. What our mind believes and conceives, can happen. What we make our mind believe is what actually occurs. They make us believe that war is right and making love is wrong, they make us believe that Cancer and Aids is real. It is what we have in our minds that happen, not what they say. Read books, travel, discover all that mother nature has ought to give us. How did this guy get cured of cancer and the other guy died of cancer? Why is weed is illegal .. not because of anything, but because if they made people believe that weed is good, all the drug factories of the world, pharmacies and hospitals will close down. The elements you have in your panadol is the same that you have in your antibiotics. How did Adam and Eve conceive children ? If you get STD’s, then why is ‘sex’ the only way to get pregnant ? Why is it okay to lie, steal from people, brainwash, kill and make war, but it is not okay to smoke grass and make love ? Where is humanity ? Where is peace ? Why have all the people that intended to make peace been assassinated ? Coincidence ? I think not! Stop playing games and stop believing rubbish. When you learn the true meaning of love, the world will know peace.
